Twenty-one

Soms zit ik een beetje te spelen met patronen en dan ontstaat er ineens een nieuw patroon.
Dat gebeurde gisteren, 21 december.
En omdat ik het altijd moeilijk vind om iets een naam te geven heb ik deze tangle "twenty-one" genoemd.

Sometimes I'm playing around with patterns and suddenly there's a new pattern.
That happened yesterday the 21th.
And because I find it difficult to find a good name for it I thought "twenty-one"is OK for this one.

Zendala Dare #83

When I saw the template for this week I immediately saw faces in it.
And I could not resist drawing them in it.
Here they are.

This was so much fun to do !

Experiment met rood en paars

Ben even aan het experimenteren met een rode Micron en paars kleurpotlood.
Per ongeluk ontdekte ik dat schaduwen met paars en lila best wel mooi is bij het rood van de pen.

De hoeken geponst en erachter een rood kaartje.

Weer eens wat anders, en door het rood een beetje Kerstsfeer.

Challenge #148

"Merry and Happy" is the challenge from The Diva this week.
It's the last Challenge of the year and I made a special one.
I want to thank Laura for the fantastic work she did this year, she's a great inspiration for all of us.
She will be back with new challenges on 6th of Januari and I am looking out for it.

I hope you all will have a wonderful Christmas and I'm wishing you all the best for 2014!

Challenge #147

This week a new tangle from The Diva herself.
It's called Boo*Kee......a lovely tangle that made me experiment with it.
I have realy enjoyed this challenge.
Here's what I did with it.

They both look very different, but it's still the same tangle.

Zendala Dare #82

This is my contribution for the Zendala Dare for this week.

I think it was a very difficult template.

This is my 2nd attempt, it took me some time to find a way to draw it.

My first one I did not finish, it was so bad that I started a new one.

Moleskine

Ben weer begonen met een Japanse Moleskine, maar dit maal in het grotere formaat.
Pagina 1 is vandaag af gekomen.

Getekent en gekleurd met Faber Castell Polichromos en witte gouache.

Zendala Dare # 81

I know I'm late this week, but this morning I don't have any appointments so I could draw the whole morning.
And this is the result.

I drew with a blue Sakura Micron 01 and colored with blue and green Polichromos colored pencils.

This Zendala is for my favorite aunt that celebrates her 90th birthday today.

A difficult challenge this week.
We should make a duo-tangle whith Pea-nuckle and Well.

Challenge #145 2e

My second drawing for this lovely challenge.
Drawn on Calligraphie paper with Uni-pin and white gelly-roll pens.
In dutch we call this paper olifantenhuid, wich means elefantskin. (I don't know if its called like this in English)
It looks like vellum and is often used for special documents.

Challenge # 144 / 145

After a busy week I could do some drawing this weekend.
I know it's too late for the challenge #144 but it was such a nice challenge so I did it anyway,
And I guess the challenge for this week will be the new tangle "Quib"
So I already made a tile with it.

What a lovely template this week,

The Challenge for this week is to use the tangle "Cruze" by Caren Mlot.
I love this tangle, never done it before, but it's a lovely tangle.

This week we have a very lovely template to make the Zendala.
I made it with my UniPin 01 and I want to color the flowers.
But this week I don't have so much time to sit and relax coloring it.
Still I want to show you my contribution in black and white.

Challenge #141

Wat een lastige challenge deze week.
De combinatie van Fengle en Quandari vond ik best moeilijk.
Toen ik de challenge las dacht ik oooooh, makkelijk, maar dat viel nog best wel tegen.
Ik had gedacht dat het tekenen deze week wel voor wat ontspanning zou zorgen, maar het omgekeerde was het resultaat.
Ik vind de tekening dan ook niet echt goed uitgevallen, de verhouding klopt niet echt.

Toch nog maar een poging gewaagd en ditmaal ben ik redelijk tevreden.

Haken

Afgelopen weekend begonnen met haken.
Het moet een omslagdoek gaan worden, lekker warm in de winter.
Ik haak met 100% Alpaca wol heerlijk warm en zacht.
Het patroon heb ik gedownload van deze pagina.
Dit is het begin.

Chalenge #140, Harteknoop en Zomaar :)

Deze week gaan we een ZT maken in pointillisme stijl.

Echt een heel leuk idee wat weer geweldig veel mogelijkheden bied.

This week we should make a ZT in poinillism style.

A wonderful idea with many great possibilities.

I used only N'Zeppel and drew with Uni pin 01 in black and a red Micron.

And than another one  (Just) because I have a few hours for myself :)

I don't know what's wrong, All of my pictures look so very dark.

For real they are much lighter.

CHallenge #139

A few mounths ago I was trying out the tangle 8's parte dos by Jane Eileen
And now this tangle is chosen for the Use my tangle this mounth.
Here I show you my ZT I made in June.
I hope to find some time this week to make a new one.

Laat je inspireren door dingen om je heen is de uitdaging deze week.
Voor mij is dat een echt Hollands tegeltje geworden, geïnspireerd door een boeren zakdoek en een bloempot. (Hoe simpel kan je het me maken)

Finding inspiration in things wherever you are is the challenge for this week.
So I found my inspiration by a Dutch handkerchief and a flower pot, so I made a typical Dutch tile.

I just found out that this is the 100th time I join the Challenge of Laura Harms

Challenge #137

Knightbridge and Tipple are the tangles we have to use for this weeks challenge from The Diva
I'm not a big fan of Knightbridge and almost never use it.
So it's a perfect challenge to make me use it.
I'm surprised by how much fun it was to make this.

Zendala Dare #74

When I saw the template for the Zendala Dare of this week I got an idea.
So I started to work with the template and turned it into something that looks like Celtic knotwork.
Celtic art is one of my favorites.
And here you can see how I did it.

Tesselation

I have been experimenting with tesselation and this is what I made.

This is so much fun to do.

Beschrijving klein doosje

Gekleurd papier
voor de deksel 12.5 X 12.5 cm
voor de bodem 12 X 12 cm.

Teken de buitenkant naar wens en vouw volgens het voorbeeld.

 

Alle vier zijden naar het midden vouwen , en dan nog een keer.

 

Open vouwen,  insnijden en weer invouwen als op de foto.

Eerst de smalle flapjes en daarover de anderen vouwen.

 Eventueel de bodem vastlijmen.

Challenge #136

"Color, Color, everywhere"
Is the challenge of this week.
Some years ago I made this little box.
A friend of my showed us how to make this little box from card stock to tangle it.
I loved the effect of black and white on the blue paper and I thought I will make a ZIA on that blue paper.
Here the little box and the ZIA I made today.

    

I used a black UNI pin 01 and a white Gelly roll pen and shaded it with B2 pencil.

Challenge #134

This week its Use My Tangle time again.
And the tangle we should use is Beamz by Tracy F.
I first drew a string with Beams but the tangle really confused me and when I started to draw other tangles around it I could hardly find it back.
So I added some color and made the squares a bit heavier with a micron 03
Now I think it's a lot better.
Hope you like it.

The dare for this week is a difficult one, It took me quite some time to make it, and I'm not totally happy with it.

I used a brown and red micron and colored and shaded with colored pencil also in red and light brown.
