Challenge #198

Keep it simple, silly!
Is the last Challenge of 2014
I did some variations of the very simple tangle "Hurry"
and found out that it's not as simple as it sounds to simplify a tangle.

I love this tangle, you can draw it on almost every ZIA and you can make so many variations with the basis of Hurry.

Challenge #197

This time especially for the challenge I made a booklet with Ärukas"

                    

 I used a Faber Castell pit pen in Sanguin and black

Shaded the black and Venician red colored pencil.

10,5" X 10,5" Tile

The new size tile from Zentangle® is 10,5"X 10.5"
They named it "Opus" and you can find more about it in the Newsletter from November 29th.
I do not have the original tiles but used drawing paper that I cut in that size.
On the left I was playing with "Arukas", the new tangle and also the Challenge this week.

Challenge #195

A busy week for me, and there's not so much time to make a drawing for the challenge.
Just half an hour to do this challenge, hope to do better next week.

    Micron 01 on Elefantenhaut, shaded with pencil and highlighted

    with white gell pen.

Tekenen en schilderen

Tijdens de schilderskring waar ik elke vrijdagochtend ben heb ik de onderstaande werkjes gemaakt.

            Op een doekje van 20 X 20 cm met acryl verf.

    en deze uien op bristol papier met Faber Castell kleurpotloden.

Haken

Het schiet al aardig op, alleen nog de rand en dan is ie af.

Ik moet nog wel even nadenken hoe ik die rand zal doen, maar daar kom ik wel uit.

Chalenge #193

This week a TriTangle with Huggins, Trio and XYP
Trio and XYP are new for me.
I can imagine that Trio will become a favorite, but XYP is not my thing.
Here's what I did with them.

Orb

Na het bekijken van de tutorial van Ellen Wolters van de tangle Orb heb ik deze tile gemaakt.
Erg leuk om mee te experimenteren.
Dank je wel Ellen voor al die handige teken tutorials :)

Getekent met de UniPin 01 en geschaduwd met aquarel potlood en nat penseel.

Werk van cursisten

Vandaag met mijn cursisten les 10 gedaan.
De tangles van deze les waren Blooming Butter, Facets, Strircles en Leaflet.

En op een aparte tile hebben we Mooka gedaan.

En dit zijn de tiles die ze maakten, zijn ze niet prachtig !

Challenge #191

This week a monotangle with one of my absolute favorite tangles "Betweed"
I drew it on page 8 of my ZT book.

Black and red Micron 01, and shaded with red and indigo colored pencils.

Challenge #190

October is Breast cancer month, and so the challenge this week is to use pink in the drawing.
I drew pink ribbons on page 6 of my ZT book.

Breien en Haken

Voor de komende winter lekker ouderwets sokken gebreid.

En daarna begonnen met een regenboog deken van katoen.

Lekker haken in de verloren uurtjes.

Dit is nog maar het begin, er komt nog rood onder, en kobaltblauw en paars boven.

En ook nog een heleboel effen witte blokken.

De kleuren op de foto zijn wat vaal, in het echt zijn ze helderder.

Challene #189

It's UMT week and we should use Tina Akua's tangle Yuma
I don't know if I do it right.....It's difficult to draw, and I think it does not even look like Yuma.

Challenge #188

"National Coming Out Day"
is the theme for the challenge this week.

Laura was asked by a 12 year young boy to do this challenge for his gay friend.

October is LGBT history month and October 11th is (also in the Netherlands) National Coming Out Day.

Challenge #187

"Blind string" is the challenge of this week.
Draw a string with your eyes closed.

     I used a blue micron 01 and shaded with a watercolor pencil.

Challenge #186

Autumn leaves.

This challenge is to make something with autumn leaves.
In my garden the Parthenicissus tricuspidata (in Dutch "Wilde Wingerd") is changing collor so beautifully that I had to make something with this leave.

New Tangle ING

Zentangle ® introduced a new tangle named "ING"
I am not so very font of tangles with strait lines, however I did have a lot of fun trying ING out.
Here's what I did with it.

           In the middle ING with curved lines.

            ING as borders.

The challenge this week is "Stripes"
I drew it on page 2 of my ZT book.

Huisnummer

Bij de Xenos zijn letters en nummers van papier maché te koop.
(nu zelfs in de opruiming voor € 0.24 per stuk)
Ik heb ze met gesso en acrylverf wit gemaakt en vol getangled om ze zo in mijn raam te zetten.

 

En zo zijn ze geworden.

Challenge #181 and bookbinding

Last week I made a book with a coptic binding for Tangling in it.
I used drawing paper, grey boodbinders linnen, and sew it with orange waxed linnen threat.
I also used the linnen threat for the bookmark.
I sew a grey button on the front and made an elastic on the back to close it.

 

At the first page I drew my contribution for Challenge #181

                 "WATER"

I did try to draw waterdrops on my tangles, I hope it looks like that.

Challenge #180

Het is de eerste challenge van de maand en dat betekend UMT (use my tangle) tijd.
Deze maand is dat de tangle MacDee van Anneke van Dam.
Leuke tangle die me naast de schotse ruit ook doet denken aan een theedoek.
Ik heb er dan ook een theedoek-achtige tekening van gemaakt.

It's the first challenge of the month and so it's UMT time.
This month the tangle MacDee by Anneke van Dam.
A lovely tangle that also reminds me of a tea towel so I made a tea towel ZT.

Challenge # 179

The founders of Zentangle introduced a new size of tile.
They named it "Bijou" They are 2"X 2" (5 X 5 cm.)
The challenge this week is to work on a "Bijou"tile or make something small. (be like Bijou)

Some time ago I made a necklace with a small wooden piece (5 X 5 cm), painted it white and tangled it.
I finished it with a leather cord and some beads.

For the challenge I made a small ZIA and glued it on a match box.

Challenge #178

The challenge this week is to make a duo-tangle with tangles based on my name.
My initials are M L and I used the tangles   Meringue  and  Logjam

I drew it with a black and red Micron 01, and the outside border with a very sharp pencil.

Shaded with B2 pencil and colored pencil.

Zia and Challenge #177

We do have a guest tangler again this week for the challenge.
Its Caroline Broady, and she introduces a new tangle named Truffle.

I also made a ZIA in size A3

I was inspired by Michelle's Zia's with Tripoli and Spiralations.

For the small things in de open spaces I made a card with the different patterns.

I hope it will be useful for all of my tangle friends.
