Challenge #181 and bookbinding

Last week I made a book with a coptic binding for Tangling in it.
I used drawing paper, grey boodbinders linnen, and sew it with orange waxed linnen threat.
I also used the linnen threat for the bookmark.
I sew a grey button on the front and made an elastic on the back to close it.

 

At the first page I drew my contribution for Challenge #181

                 "WATER"

I did try to draw waterdrops on my tangles, I hope it looks like that.

Challenge #180

Het is de eerste challenge van de maand en dat betekend UMT (use my tangle) tijd.
Deze maand is dat de tangle MacDee van Anneke van Dam.
Leuke tangle die me naast de schotse ruit ook doet denken aan een theedoek.
Ik heb er dan ook een theedoek-achtige tekening van gemaakt.

It's the first challenge of the month and so it's UMT time.
This month the tangle MacDee by Anneke van Dam.
A lovely tangle that also reminds me of a tea towel so I made a tea towel ZT.

Challenge # 179

The founders of Zentangle introduced a new size of tile.
They named it "Bijou" They are 2"X 2" (5 X 5 cm.)
The challenge this week is to work on a "Bijou"tile or make something small. (be like Bijou)

Some time ago I made a necklace with a small wooden piece (5 X 5 cm), painted it white and tangled it.
I finished it with a leather cord and some beads.

For the challenge I made a small ZIA and glued it on a match box.

Challenge #178

The challenge this week is to make a duo-tangle with tangles based on my name.
My initials are M L and I used the tangles   Meringue  and  Logjam

I drew it with a black and red Micron 01, and the outside border with a very sharp pencil.

Shaded with B2 pencil and colored pencil.

Zia and Challenge #177

We do have a guest tangler again this week for the challenge.
Its Caroline Broady, and she introduces a new tangle named Truffle.

Here's what I did with it.

I also made a ZIA in size A3

I was inspired by Michelle's Zia's with Tripoli and Spiralations.

For the small things in de open spaces I made a card with the different patterns.

I hope it will be useful for all of my tangle friends.

Challenge #175

It's UMT time again and we can use the tangle "Crux" by Henrike Bratz.
I think it's a lovely tangle with many possibilities.
I thought it would look nice in a 3D circle but it was not as easy as I thought.
The result is not fantastic, I should practice the tangle and the 3D circle much more with this.
But I have a busy week so I will show my first attempt.

Challenge #174

We should put a string on top of another string for this challenge.
I almost never us e string anymore, so for me this is a challenge.
I tried to use tangles that I used when I just started to tangle.
