For quit some time I'm planning to tangle my watering can.
So this was perfect for the challenge.
After I made the photo's I wanted to varnish the drawing, and what happened ........... The drawing completely vanished.
The ink did not stick to the plastic of the watering can.
Unfortunately I made the photo first so I can show it here.
O wat jammer, maar dan is het toch gelukkig dat je eerst een foto maakte? Dan kunnen we nu gelukkig zien hoe mooi jouw onverwacht leuke plek was om te tengelen.Prachtig.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSo pretty! Shame it disappeared š
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI'm so glad you got the photo before the pattern disappeared. It's so pretty. I had a similar problem when I drew on a slate and tried to varnish it. I re-did it and used a spray varnish, which worked well.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSuch a shame it disappeared-so pretty :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt is so beautifully done. I was thinking you could print out your photo and then decoupage it on to the watering can?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenA gorgeous piece. So beautiful!

Gorgeous!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBeautiful! I like the idea of decoupaging a photo of it. It's quite stunning.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenToo bad. You could try using Identipen. I used that on a plastic coffee cup for my son a couple of months and it is still there. good luck!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWat jammer dat de zia verdween, best even balen zoiets. Gelukkig heb je nog de foto van deze prachtige gieter.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGorgeous!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOh dear - and it was so very lovely! I have had the same thing happen to me as I like to tangle on pebbles and stones. It's taken a long time to find the right 'finish' to seal the tangles, but I think probably the problem was the plastic in this case. Good thought to take the photo first!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAxxx
Wat jammer van de inkt! Ik vind het een pracht-idee en minstens zo prachtig uitgevoerd. Gelukkig heb je de foto nog ;-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenoh no :( glad you have a photo, and the tangle looks wonderful, but so sorry you lost it! Though I did see you linked a part 2 so I am hoping everything worked out really well!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSo beautiful! What a shame you lost it. But at least we can all enjoy it through the magic of photography.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt is gorgeous. Who knew plastic didn't hold pen work? Lucky we got to see it!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBeautiful.. I like Jean's idea--print out the photo, decoupage to the can, and seal that.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI love the new look of your blog! The only thing, the words aren't visible. but the color is gorgeous!!! Anyway, I love the watering can that you did! Just beautiful and so organic, for it's purpose!! :0) Annette
BeantwoordenVerwijderenoops, never mind my comment about not being able to read the print. for some reason my computer didn't have your blog all the way visible! :0)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenVery pretty! Good thing you took the photo first!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOoo... Lovely, I'm off to find my watering can. Your experience with it disappearing has at least helped me not to make the same mistake,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAbsolutely beautiful :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat is a very beautiful pattern. Are you going to try again? Prep the plastic with something or use a different varnish. Bet you can make it work.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLove it. The delicate edges of the tile and the gardeny look of the art. Very nice!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI love this and so sad it didn't last! But it reminds me of how the Tibetans make those absolutely gorgeous sand mandalas, and then just sweep them away! It reminds us to enjoy the process and live in the moment because once this moment has passed, it all passes away and leaves us ready for the next. Beautiful!
