New tangles "Eggs and Flevo"

Two new tangles

Here two new tangles I designed.
The first one I give the name Eggs.
You can see why I choose this name.

The second one I gave the name Flevo.

(I always find it difficult to give my tangles a name)

Because I live in the province Flevoland in the Netherlands I thought this would be a good name.

I hope you like them, try them and make variations with them. 

In the Zentangle newsletter from August we find a new tangle named "Zenith"
I did try some variations with "Zenith", It's only the beginning, I love the tangle and will try some more variations later.

New tangle

Here's my new tangle "Diamant"
You can use it as a border, but also side by side.

What's the name

Can someone tell me the name of this tangle ?

 

I can't find it anywhere.

Twenty-one

Soms zit ik een beetje te spelen met patronen en dan ontstaat er ineens een nieuw patroon.
Dat gebeurde gisteren, 21 december.
En omdat ik het altijd moeilijk vind om iets een naam te geven heb ik deze tangle "twenty-one" genoemd.

Sometimes I'm playing around with patterns and suddenly there's a new pattern.
That happened yesterday the 21th.
And because I find it difficult to find a good name for it I thought "twenty-one"is OK for this one.

New Tangle "Druppel"

Hier mijn nieuwe patroon die ik Druppel noem.

Here's my tangle named Druppel.
Druppel is the dutch word for drop.

Cadent / Huggins variations

Playing around with the basics of Cadent and Huggins I made the following combinations.

On a grid of 0.5 X 0.5 cm It's easy to play and find out all different possibilities.
With this basics you can make many more combinations.
Have fun with it !

Tanglebox

Voor al mijn tanglekaartjes heb ik een opbergdoos gemaakt.
Zo staan de kaartjes met uitleg over de tangles allemaal op alfabet zodat ik ze makkelijk terug kan vinden.

For my tanglecards I made a aTanglebox.
Now my cards with tutorials about the tangles are in alphabetical order so that I can find them back easy.

New Tangle

Rick and Maria, the founders of Zentangle have given us the challenge to figure out how the steps are from theyre new tangle, and give it a name.
It was a bit of puzzling, but I think I did it.
Here are my steps fore the New one and I should name it "Surprise"

Here is page 10 of my Japanese Moleskine.
I started yesterday, hoping by doing it I will get my inspiration back again.
This is the first page I made in December as you can see by the sign.
I hope to make more pages this mounth.

At the bottom you see my new tangle spaanders.

Golven

Ineens zit er weer een patroon in mijn hoofd en moet ik het uitproberen op papier.
Het ontwerpen ervan heeft me niet zoveel hoofdbrekens bezorgd als het bedenken van een naam voor dit nieuwe patroon.

Hieronder vind je hoe het stap voor stap getekend kan worden.

Suddenly there's a new pattern in my head and I have to try it out on paper.
Designing the tangle was not as difficult as giving it a name.
FinalyI gave it the name Golven, witch is the dutch word for Waves.

Here 's the step by step drawing of it.

Casella

Conny's design
One of my students Conny designed a new tangle.
She gave it the name "Casella" after an Art object near the river Sella in Italy where they were on vacation.

And here is the Zentangle she made with it.

I think she did a great job with it.

Gothic

Hier is weer een nieuwe tangle.
Ik heb hem Gothic genoemd omdat het me doet denken aan gothische ramen.
De ruimtes zijn op veel manieren in te vullen zodat er steeds weer een ander effect ontstaat.
Hier kun je eindeloos mee experimenteren.

Here is a new tangle.
I have given it the name Gothic, because it makes me think of Gothic windows.
You can fill the spaces  in many ways to get different effects.
So you can experiment with it endlessly.

Variation on Spinning

Ik heb een variatie gemaakt op mijn tangle Spinning.
Het doet mij een beetje denken aan de sluiter van een fototoestel.

I made a variation on the tangle Spinning,
I think it looks a little like the closer (I do'nt know if this is the right name in english) of a camera.
